Classes

My mother was a teacher; my father was a medical malpractice attorney.  I think my law classes reflect the best that I received from both my parents. My class series is meant to support people who need some help, not a full serving of legal intervention. Class size is limited to 12 people, so call and register in advance. Unfortunately, classes are subject to cancellation, so you need to rsvp 48 hours in advance to make sure the class will be held. 

All classes are at Lawlady Inc at 68th and Roosevelt. (853 NE 68th Street)  Parking is free across the street in the Calvary Church Lot.  Bring food. Eating is allowed. 

Divorce 101 Class
Tuesday October 25th from 6:30 to 9:00

This class is covers the basics of divorce in Washington. You'll receive a copy of the divorce forms and instructions on how to complete the forms and work your way through the divorce labyrinth at the King County Courthouse. Cost $50.

Marriage 101 Class

Monday October 24th from 6:30 to 9:00

Come learn the basics of marriage laws in Washington in this 2.5 hour class. Marriage is the largest contract you will enter in your life. Learn what you are agreeing to when you say "I Do." This class will help you decide if you need a prenuptial agreement.  You'll be given a sample prenuptial agreement to look over. Cost is $50.  

Soulful Divorce

An exploration of the meaning of divorce.  This is a class for people who feel they've lost their way.  We'll talk about ritual, share stories, devise new life plans and generally support you through this rocky passage of life.  This class will be set as soon as I have 6 people signed up to attend.  The class will meet 4 times over a 8 week time period. Cost for four class series is $80.  Class meets for 1.5 hours. Dates and times to be determined. 

What Law School Should Teach You But Doesn't

A career exploration class for lawyers and law students who wish to have authentic, soul-feeding work.  The class will unfold pursuant to the needs of the class. This will be held as soon as I have a commitment from 6 students for 6 consecutive weeks of attendance at $20 a session ($120 total). This class is ideal for people considering career changes, law students looking for work, lawyers developing a solo practice, or any lawyer who hates the law and wonders:  Is the Law for Me.
