I charge a flat rate of $500 for a will package that includes: a simple will, a power of attorney for health care, a power of attorney for finances, and a health care directive. Couples receive a $50 discount. My rate is higher if a trust is involved.  I limit my estate planning to small to medium estates, up to $1 million.

The will process can be done in as short of time as 48 hours, for an extra $50 fee.  Ordinarily the process takes one to four weeks, depending on how much time you need to reflect on your wishes and needs.

For divorcing couples, it is a good idea to make new wills after your divorce is completed.
