Holistic Law: Many are still trying to define just what holistic law means. I'm not sure it's a word that lends itself to a definitive usage. Maybe holistic law is the Tao of Law. Just like the Tao, it can't be defined. But if you want or need a short answer I'd say, "holistic law is about seeing clients' problems in context, striving to never do harm, listening more than talking, laughing when appropriate, showing up as your authentic self, calling the highest self of the client forward, advancing the inclusion of heart, compassion and love in a profession notorious for self-interest, crass behavior and harshness. It's about softening and letting some light into the situation.
